Barnard Rings
This classic design, made of gold with an oval onyx engraved centerpiece stone, is the official College ring. Current students are now purchasing this ring, and we wanted to offer alumnae the opportunity as well.
For generations of Barnard women, Athena, Greek goddess of wisdom, has held special symbolic value. According to tradition, Athena is the goddess of the city and the protector of civilized life. She is the incarnation of wisdom, reason and purity, the warrior-goddess of the arts of peace, and the goddess of prudent intelligence. She is the centerpiece of the official College seal; she is at the center of the Barnard ring.
Available in two styles in either white or yellow gold, the Barnard College ring is a work of exceptional beauty and superb craftsmanship. It features a genuine black onyx stone engraved with the College Seal and is made-to-order in your choice of solid 18K gold, solid 14K gold, or solid 10K gold, polished to a lustrous finish. Inside the band, your ring will be custom engraved with your name in elegant script to become a treasured possession in years to come and to remind you of your alma mater.
