Erin Fredrick ’01

As Director, Erin serves as an ex-officio member on the Alumnae Association Board of Directors and each of its committees. She is the primary staff liaison to the 50th Reunion class. Erin was named Director of Alumnae Affairs in early 2009. Beginning in the fall of 2005, she served as a staff member in Alumnae Affairs, coordinating Reunion and Leadership Council. Prior to returning to Barnard professionally, she had been an active member of the Alumnae Association: as a Barnard Fund volunteer, class correspondent, and a regional club co-president. She holds an MA in Political Science from American University, where she studied women and political leadership.
Vanessa Alexander

Vanessa coordinates Barnard’s Reunion and works with the classes of the 1960’s and 1980’s. She also supports the Leadership Council Committee and provides resources available to all class officers. She joined the Alumnae Affairs team in the Spring of 2009 and she holds a BA and an MA in Art History from Yale University.
Susannah Jaffe Goldstein ’02

Susannah provides support and resources to Barnard’s regional clubs across the country and all over the world, and is the staff liaison to the Regional Advisory Committee. She also works with the Fellowship and Communications committees, as well as the 30th and 35th Reunions. She joined the Alumnae Affairs team in the fall of 2008.
Victoria Londin ’79

Victoria supports programming for Project Continuum, an affinity group for alumnae age 50 and older, and Alma Maters, an affinity group for alumnae who are mothers. She joined the Alumnae Affairs team in the fall/winter of 2008, after transitioning from her volunteer role as president of the Barnard-in-Westchester club and a member of the Alumnae Association Nominating Committee. She is a psychologist and the proud parent of a member of the Barnard Class of 2011.
Christine Valenza Shin ’84
Program Director, Financial Fluency

As Program Director for Financial Fluency, Christine works with Barnard alumnae in finance to offer courses and events for all alumnae interested in learning the basics of personal finance. Since the program’s inception in 2005, Christine has worked closely with a core team of Financial Fluency teachers to develop two basic mini-courses, Financial Planning 101 and Investing 101, as well as workshops, panel discussions and lectures on financially related topics. Christine's professional background is in education and teacher training. Prior to joining the Alumnae Affairs staff she was an officer in the Barnard Club of Greater Northern New Jersey, and a class officer.

Iris provides support to the Alumnae Association Board of Directors and all associated committees. She assists the Director of Alumnae Affairs, and provides additional support to the 50th Reunion Class. She connects alumnae with the appropriate resources and can be found greeting alumnae in the Vagelos Alumnae Center. She encourages all to stop by and will be glad to make you an alumnae I.D. card. Iris joined the Alumnae Affairs office in the fall of 2007 and is a graduate of Fordham University.
Lauren Glover '09

Lauren provides support for Alumnae Affairs events and to student groups. She helps alumnae make use of the office’s resources via email, on the phone, in person at the front desk, and through Alumnae Affairs’ presence on social networking sites. She also helps collect and add content to the Alumnae Network. Lauren joined the Alumnae Affairs office in the summer of 2009. While at Barnard, Lauren majored in English and was a Writing Fellow.

Sarah provides technological support for the Alumnae Network as well as the main Barnard College website. She has been a part of Barnard's Electronic Communications department since the summer of 2008 and has a passion for using technology and the internet to bring people together in new ways.

Martina collects and edits the content for the Barnard website. From the news, events, and highlights on the home page to the multimedia on Barnard's "Past Events" page. Martina is always on the lookout for interesting activities, programs, courses of study, events, internships, and anything else Barnard's students and faculty are doing. Martina also sends out the monthly e-newsletter to Barnard Alumnae.
