Winter Alma Maters Events
In November, Barnard Alma Maters enjoyed a private tour of the Kandinsky exhibit at the Guggenheim. Join us at Barnard on Thursday, Dec 10 for a discussion on early childhood with Tovah Klein, and plan bring the kids to the New Victory Theater on Sun, Jan 3. RSVP to Alumnae Affairs for any events.

2010 Alumnae Association Awards
Nominate a friend or classmate to be honored at Reunion 2010. This year’s honorees will have graduated in years ending in 0 or 5. Visit alum.barnard.edu/2010awards to submit a nomination by Tuesday, December 1.

Provost Boylan in Beijing
In October, Provost Elizabeth S. Boylan traveled to Beijing to participate in an international conference in honor of the 60th anniversary of the founding of China Women's University. While she was there, she visited with students, alumnae, and Political Science professor Xiaobo Lü, who is currently the Director of the Columbia Global Center in Beijing. View photos 

Boston Panel on Reproductive Rights
The Barnard Club of Boston gathered for a lively and informative panel on Changing Perspectives on Reproductive Rights: the Interplay Between Legal, Medical, and Ethical Concerns. The panelists were an esteemed group of Barnard alumnae: Honorable Nancy Gertner ’67, Dr. Maureen Strafford ’71, Mary Gordon ’71, Amy Richards ’92, and moderater Catherine Weisbrod ’67. The discussion touched on every issue from the role of religion in reproductive rights to medical advances and the current legal situation. Psychology Affinity Group
Students, faculty and alumnae met on October 15 for the second annual "Psychological Connections" networking event. Anjali George ’02, Diana Puñales Morejon ’83, Anne Colantuoni ’81 and Iris Hellner ’88 discussed the path that led each of them to pursue a career in clinical psychology. Students asked questions of the alumnae panel and of the attendees, who represented 50 years of experience across the field. Join the alumnae psychology group to continue the discussion throughout the year.

Gathering of Alumnae Leaders
Leadership Assembly, an annual convocation of Alumnae Association volunteers, took place October 8 and 9. More than 150 class officers and regional club leaders gathered on campus to share ideas and learn about Barnard today. Recaps, pictures, and videos will be available online.
